Fire crackers
My brother-in-law is crazy about fire crackers. He being a Hindu and we being Christians gives him a lot of festivities, especially towards end of the year.

I am not sure if you know how beautiful the words you wrote are.
How great that you and your brother-in-law see your differing religions as a bonus, not as a source of conflict. I wish Christians in the United States would say "It's [enter non-christian holiday here] bring out the fireworks!"
